Green Tour: Rainwater collection system (2/1/2010)
“Green Concept Home” has hosted another successful free green construction tour today! During today’s tour, David Huang from Modus V Studio Architects has explained the green features of the “Green Concept Home”, with detailed explanations and discussions on the rainwater collection system, followed by a tour of the house.
“Green Concept Home” will be collecting rain water from its metal roof. The water will be filtered and stored in an 1,700 gallon below ground cistern tank to be used for toilet flushing, laundry, car washing and outdoor irrigation. David has shared information on the technical aspects of the system, permit approval process with the City of Bellevue and the costs associated with the system.
We would like to thank every one who has attended today’s tour. Special thanks to Greeen Agent Rylen Akana for organizing today’s tour.
You have missed the tour? Don’t worry! The “Green Concept Home” will be hosting another FREE educational green construction tour in a few weeks’ time. The next tour will be focusing on the in-floor radiant system. If you are interested to attend this upcoming tour, please email Millie at millie@modusvstudio.com for more information and/or for registration.
We look forward to seeing you at our next tour!
